Let's talk about the word "gentle."
It's everywhere. On cleansers, serums, moisturizers. It sounds reassuring. Safe.
But here's the thing: "gentle" isn't regulated.
Any brand can put it on a label. There's no standard. No testing requirement. No one checking if the product actually behaves gently on reactive skin. It's marketing, not a promise.
Our founder learned this the hard way. Carolina is a chemical engineer and she spent years reading ingredient lists professionally. And she still ended up in the hospital three times from products labeled "gentle" and "sensitive skin safe."
So what should you actually look for?
Dermatologist-tested, Dermatologist- approved on sensitive skin and not just "dermatologist recommended." Hypoallergenic tested meaning it's been screened for allergic reactions. Free from common irritants like synthetic fragrances, harsh acids, and drying alcohols.
When we developed the Pureglow Cleanser, we made it pass every one of those tests before it ever touched a customer's face. Not because of marketing but because Carolina needed to trust it on her own skin first and as an engineer, testing and data analysis is so key for developing products that are efficacious. After multiple hospital visits, that trust doesn't come easy.
Your skin deserves more it all.
